2 Aerial Workshops at our sister studio, Hudson Valley Circus Arts
Aerial Hammok
An all-levels workshop with Kyla Ernst-Alper and Sylvana Tapia. Aerial hammock is like aerial silks, but rigged as a looped hammock instead of as two long strands extending to the floor. Hammock is a supportive apparatus for beginners, and offers a great deal of freedom for creativity and expression to dancers and experienced aerialists. Join us to strengthen, stretch, and engage your aerial body with this whimsical apparatus. This class begins with a deep-dive into essential exercises and stretches to support aerial movements and skills. We’ll then take new-found movements & skills from the ground into the air with a choreographed dance sequence in the aerial hammock. This workshop is perfect for both aerial silks and lyra students of all levels who are excited to learn to really dance in the air!
10am-11:30am
Partner Lyra
This beginner-friendly workshop begins with partnered warm up exercises on the ground and on the Lyra. Students will explore mirrored and counter-balance duo moves under, inside, and above the lyra! You are welcome to join us with or without a partner!
Prerequisite: 4 prior aerial classes
